Autim Listing is an open source for collaboration. Similar to a forum, this allows you to post your opinions and experiences. Use this site to tell everyone else in the world what worked for you, in hopes that it may help them. The day of diagnosis is possibly the scariest day in a parent’s life. Then comes the confusion, the research, the endless questions etc..
Thats where Autism Listing comes in. New parents, seasoned parents, or anyone with a question can come here to find out what everyone else is doing. Autism Spectrum is unique, in that, experience from trial and error is the best science. We want to have the real people behind Autism driving the future, and just maybe the experiences and research will lend to a new scientific approach, or better yet a cure for Autism.
Similar to the popular classifieds websites out there (cough cough..craigslist…cough cough) you simply put your ‘Ad’ in the forum you would like to share in. Think of it as selling your experience, only you aren’t selling, you are informing, helping and educating. Feel free to post as many experiences as you want, in as many ‘Ads’ as you want. The more we know the better!
Of course, thanks to the wild west nature of the Internet, we are forced limit the length of the response. This should lend way to honest feedback, as well as keep everyone informed. Ready 4000 words about a trip to the store isn’t exactly what we are shooting for. Also, the dreaded [SPAM] is everywhere, so hopefully we will combat this with registrations and limitations. Keep in mind, if it doesn’t work we will be actively seeking what does work, for everyones best interest.
This is for the people by the people. Lets get to helping everyone in the Autism Community beat this thing…shall we??

If you have a great category that we forgot..Tell Us! We will do a little research and probably add it for discussion. Please make sure its relevant to helping others out there. Although we love our soap box, and we use it often, we are not interested in complaining. We want this to be a positive experience, what we are doing here should be positive…we are changing the face of Autism. If you are still confused about the categories and ad suggestions we want, Cowboy Woody put it best….”If the BOOOOT fitss”
